6587387And yes that’s exactly what happens here. But by the end of Silver borne things are looking better for Mercy and her werewolf alpha mate Adam.

Drawn into yet another power struggle with the fae -a fairy queen no less- Mercy must save herself, her friends, and her former werewolf love Samuel before it’s too late.

So basically a few books ago Mercy was loaned a book of fae info which is apparently a pretty powerful artifact that can drain magic from creatures.  Hence the fairy queen’s interest in it.  And the kidnapping of two of Mercy’s friends to force her to give it up after burning her home and sending bounty hunters and a member of the Wild Hunt to her garage to try and kill her.

Not only does Mercy have fae after her, she also has to deal with members of her pack messing with her head to try and force her out of the pack, and Samuel’s attempted suicide -and his wolf’s subsequently taking control- leave her with a lot to deal with, and also leaves her vulnerable to a time when her mate bond with Adam is severed.

But with a little help from a certain walking stick and the Alpha of Alphas, Mercy is able to reinstate the mate bond fully and call in the troops to rescue her.  After she saves the day of course.

Starting a new Realms trilogy next, one of the more infamous character, Erevis Cale. Twilight falling is next.

Erevis Cale – simple butler or much, much more?

The shadows grow long on the mean streets of Selgaunt… and the sun sets on one man’s service to Sembia’s merchant lords.

The day’s end finds Erevis Cale serving a new master, one who is beyond the petty accumulation of wealth.

After all, what is gold to one who trades in souls?
