18079684Story and plot moves forward a bit here thankfully.   Split a bit between Mageire and Leesil on their journey south for the last orb, and Wynne, Chane, Shade and Osha as they continue Wynne’s research before being unwittingly drawn into a plot by the wrath thought defeated in previous books.

Nothing really interesting happens with Leesil and Mageire.  They’re just travelling along, always heading south to find one of the last orbs, though they do get betrayed in the end.  That was interesting.  But most of the action happens with Wynne, where Osha reveals more of his story, and in an attempt to help out a fellow guild member they stumble upon the orb of spirit.

As much as I’m enjoying this series however, I do hope it ends soon.  Mostly because I want to know the final deal with this ancient enemy, referred to as Beloved by his servants.

But yeah.  Not much more else to say here.  Really if you’re just tuning into this series now good luck to ya.  This entire thing is like an onion.  Layer upon layer that makes you want to cry sometimes…

Can you guess what we’re going to check out next?  Yeah that’s right.  Can’t stay away from Patricia Biggs.  We’re starting out on the Alpha and Omega series with Cry Wolf next.

2355575Anna never knew werewolves existed, until the night she survived a violent attack… and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. Then Charles Cornick, the enforcer—and son—of the leader of the North American werewolves, came into her life.

Charles insists that not only is Anna his mate, but she is also a rare and valued Omega wolf. And it is Anna’s inner strength and calming presence that will prove invaluable as she and Charles go on the hunt in search of a rogue werewolf—a creature bound in magic so dark that it could threaten all of the pack.
